INFORMATION ON HENRY SCARBOROUGH (1780-1857):

     Date:  1816/11/27
     Description:  SCARBOROUGH, HENRY, Plat for 90 acres on Scape Whore
     Swamp, Sumter District, Surveyed by Benjamin Dubose.

2.  Series:  S108177  Ignore - 0000  Item - 43020  Ignore - 000
     Date:  1908-1909

[Note: The Census information below was taken from Ancestry.com Census records. Handwriting and copy quality were poor in several cases making some information questionable. The headings of some sheets were not visible possibly causing some columns to be improperly classified. - Harvey Scarborough, August 2007]
The 1790 Census for Addison Scarborough lists 3 white males under 16. Henry Scarborough is believed to be one of these three along with brothers Addison II and Daniel.

Speculation:
The one 0-9 male is son Alfred Scarborough (born May 27, 1800 - only months old),
the one 16-25 male is Henry Scarborough (born July 30, 1780 - 19 or 20 years old),
the one 16-25 female is Frances Scarborough (born August 30, 1782 - 17 or 18 years old).
No information is available on the one slave.

Note: this Census also has "Adison Scarborough" (believed to be Henry's father); and, a Bateman, two Barnes and three Stuckeys (all believed to be possible family members through marriage).

Absolum Jarvis Scarborough (born November 23, 1803, 6 or 7 years old),
William Simeon Scarborough (born about 1807, around 3 years old),
the one 10-15 male is son Alfred Scarborough (born May 27, 1800 - 10 years old),
the one 26-44 male is Henry Scarborough (born July 30, 1780 - 29 or 30 years old),
the three 0-9 females are daughters Sara Kizziah Scarborough (born about 1807, 3 years old),
Mary Scarborough (born about 1808, around 2 years old),
an unknown female, possibly Emma Scarborough,
and the one 26-44 female is Frances Scarborough (born August 30, 1782 - 27 or 28 years old).
No information is available on the one slave.

The three 0-9 males are sons
Hubbard Scarborough (probably born 1810-11, 9 or 10 years old),
Ransome Scarborough (born October 7, 1814, about 6 years old),
Hardy Scarborough (born April 22, 1820, only months old),
the two 10-15 males are sons
William Simeon Scarborough (born about 1807, around 13 years old),
one unknown male 10 to 15 years old
the one 16-18 male is
Absolum Jarvis Scarborough (born November 23, 1803, 16 or 17 years old),
the two 16-25 males are
John Zimmerman Scarborough (born November 19, 1801, 18 years old), and
Alfred Scarborough (born May 27, 1800 - 20 years old),
the one 45+ male is Henry Scarborough (born July 30, 1780 - 39 or 40 years old).
[Note that this must be a mistake as the Census should have him in the 26-44 years old column.]
The three 0-9 females are daughters Margaret Scarborough (born July 25, 1812 - about 8 years old), Martha A. Scarborough (born December 21, 1815 - 4 or 5 years old), Nancy Scarborough (born February 28, 1819 - 1 year old), the three 10-15 females are daughters Sara Kizziah Scarborough (born about 1807, 13 years old),
Mary Scarborough (born about 1808, around 12 years old),
an unknown female, possibly Emma Scarborough,
and the one 26-44 female is Frances Scarborough (born August 30, 1782 - 37 or 38 years old).
No information is available on the one 0-13 male slave or the one 0-13 female slave.
